CORPORATE SOCIAL INVESTMENT
Takgalang Consulting has adopted King’s Hope, based in Olievenhoutbosch in Centurion, and provides support in form of improvement of their facilities by donating building materials, cleaning detergents, food and physical labour in minor renovations and gardening. King’s Hope was established as a faith-based organisation in 2002. They initially provided food to the hungry and home-based care to those dying of AIDS. In 2007, They started a program which includes facilitating support groups, where people living with HIV are able to openly discuss issues such as treatment adherence, disclosure, social support, and preventing HIV transmission to their loved ones. They began providing intensive health education, as well as services to orphans and vulnerable children, in 2010, and psycho-social care in 2011.
Recently, we have extended our support to a football club in Ha-Sinthumule, a rural and impoverished community under Makhado Local Municipality. As part of our commitment to social responsibility, we purchased a full soccer kit for the young players of the club. This initiative aims to encourage the unemployed youth in the community to actively participate in sports, providing them with a positive outlet and keeping them away from engaging in criminal activities. We believe in investing in the potential of the younger generation and fostering a sense of unity and opportunity in underprivileged communities. By supporting initiatives like this, we strive to make a positive impact and contribute to the well-being of the community as a whole.
We are proud to share that we recently extended our support to the Jonathan Thifulufhelwi School, nestled in the beautiful Madommbidsha Village, Limpopo. As part of our commitment to empowering education, we donated laptops, cellphones, school uniform and school shoes to equip the students with the tools they need for a bright and connected future. Our ongoing partnership with Jonathan Thifulufhelwi School reflects our dedication to fostering growth and creating opportunities in the Makhado Municipality and Sinthumule local district.
